According to TVnewser Scoreboard(http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/scoreboard-wednesday-may-31/331016), FOX news gathers the largest amount of viewers in US and CNN takes third place media which is following MSNBC. I’ve found both CNN and Fox has conservative perspectives to significant social issues. I believe most of media and politicians tend to be conservative regardless of their political stance, since they are in the center of power. However, there is big difference in news on President Trump or other news which contains political issues between two corporates. According to Quora thread many American see CNN as slightly left leaned media while FOX as right leaned. FOX news is positive Trump government, but CNN isn’t.
On June 1st, Donald Trump declared US withdrawing Paris Climate Agreement. I watched two different news from CNN and FOX about same topic.
    CNN, Jake Tapper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOavqvGtNas
    FOX, Tucker Carlson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppQoekqSLiM
Surprisingly, unlike Korean news, they were much more rigid and two broadcasters took exactly opposite position about Trump government.
Both casters from CNN and FOX are much more emotional compared to Korean newscasters. Especially Tucker Carlson is aggressive and use stronger words compared to Korean casters. He mentions and criticizes CNN during the news. And this kind of thing doesn’t happen in Korean major news. Comparatively, American news have clearer political stance than Korean news.
Before comparing two news, about Paris Climate Agreement(PCA), there is a different opinion to greenhouse effect because CO2 level naturally changed over since the birth of earth. Also, there were ice ages before industrial revolution. I’m not sure that reducing CO2 emission will help us to lower earth temperature because scientists have consistently changed opinions about global warming. I heard interesting thoughts about rising temperature in physics class and this makes sense to me.
Article about water supply and Earth orbit: https://www.nytimes.com/1996/03/03/news/dams-for-water-supply-are-altering-earth-s-orbit-expert-says.html
According to the article, building huge dams and storing water makes northern hemisphere heaver and this effects orbit angle which makes earth receive more solar energy.

Interested on Tucker Carlson's news because of your description, but I can't watch his video on that url. Maybe I should find another one to watch it.

I think Korean news also have its own political stances. But Unlike American's, The Political Vision of Journal in Korea Belongs to Not broadcaster, But Broadcasting company.

  2. Moving on to comparison of two news both casters admit that global warming is world’s priority issue. However, they are focusing to different aspects of Paris Climate Agreement.
First, Tucker Carlson from FOX focuses on specifics and left-right frame. He is questioning how specifically PCA and financial arrangement will help ‘American’ being safe from rising sea level, why China takes a pass on reducing its greenhouse emissions. His questions are reasonable. But I don’t support his idea. Actually I felt Carlson isn’t ready for the discussion. He is putting down the opponent. He is keep questioning why only ‘America’ has to reduce CO2 emission. And saying that PCA brings no profit to America so America doesn’t have to reduce emission if China and India doesn’t. His thoughts are biased. This kind of thought will never bring up to solution.
    https://yearbook.enerdata.co.kr/CO2-emissions-data-from-fuel-combustion.html
Second, Jake Tapper(CNN) focuses on stopping global warming. Saying that PCA is necessary to reduce CO2 gas. However, evidence is weak. Uploader named CNN video ‘Jake Tapper crushes Rand Paul’s lie that climate predictions are wrong’. Rand Paul doesn’t seem to be crushed. Both sides make sense but have short evidences. Tapper does quote NASA research model tells Climate change has been accelerating because of human activity. Rand Paul makes defenses saying that modelling isn’t perfect science.
Overall, I can see Korean news being similar to CNN’s and I agree with it. FOX news more likely to represent America and CNN seems to be better news for non-American. In my opinion withdrawing PCA is just simply running away from the problem. I’m not sure that increasing CO2 gas’s factor is human, but if it is true, we must reduce CO2 emission starting with USA and force China and India to follow. (anyway there is no other way we can do if it is not true).

Passing the Lee-myong bak and Park-keun hyae government, Korean Journals doesn't work well. They didn't show their own opinion, and also They are neglectful to telling the truth to people. They dictates the posts of CNN or FOX, and Korean government.

To begin with, the Korean Cnbc news briefly talked about the situation of the situation of the United Air incident. They said that because of overbooking, the airline had the take four passengers way from the seats. In this situation, the United Airline forcibly dragged a passenger from the seat and pulled him out. Therefore, the passenger got an injury. The Cnbc also announced that the airline gave a apology speech but many people are still very angry about the current situation.
In the America Csb news, it was rather different from the Cnbs news. They announced the situations in a more subjective and a emotional way. The news anchors said that the act of dragging the passenger because of overbooking is non reasonable and it actually seem as a too far action to do. Also The Cbs news thought more deeply about the situation, bringing out another related topic. How much would it cost to compensate the man pulled down? Furthermore, they gave an opinion that the united airlines will face a conflict on whether they will have to argue and fight to the end or on the other hand the United airlines will think that the public relations are a nightmare, so they will pay the man even if the cost take more than they thought.
Based on the two news, the information given was rather different. The Cbs news gave more detailed information about the situation and talked about the Airlies future and how they will handle the situation. However, in the Cbs news, they talked about the current situation and how the result was caused, basically giving a brief summary. Also, they mentioned about the topic of racism. The news said that the issue that they chose a Asian man, it actually can relate with the racism.
The meaning of racial discrimination means that a person has a negative emotion toward a person who has a different skin color. In a general situation, the white people tend to disregard the black and the Asian, regarding that they are superiority than the other race.
In the current situation of the United Airlines overbooking, I slightly do agree with the idea that the situation has a relationship with racial discrimination. There must be a rational reason over the action of choosing which passenger they should take off of the airline if it is necessary, However, there were no rational reasons and standards of choosing the Asian man.

Still it's debatable issue since we have no certain evidence. But, I agree with you. Racism still remains in World, especially to Asian. Also United Airlines had lots of issues before the incident. They have been popular for low quality service for many years. I brought sarcastic youtube link about United Airlines LOL.

The Racism about black is hot topic in US. However, We still have a long way to go about Racism to asian. Asian should acknowledge and face racism and then find the solution with discussion, seeking the solution, and interaction.

The owner of facebook is Mark Zuckerberg, as everyone knows. He said he doesn’t support Democrat neither Republican but I’m guessing he might vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton cause I found an article which says he expressed anxiety about Republican Donald Trump’s immigration policy.
However I think it doesn't affect the news we see on the facebook. Only the inclination of press and user’s taste gives effect on it. We can easily figure out this when we compare Democrat person’s facebook with Republican person’s facebook. Democrat person, of course, would like to put ‘Good’ on news that related to Democrat(typically, which has positive view on Democrat). Then facebook algorithm will analyze it and will show that kind of news. It also recommends media or people having positive view on Democrat, then this Democrat person will follow that media page and people, and this loop will go on. Those will be same in Republican person.
What I want to say is, the ultimate controller of information on our facebook newsfeed is ourselves. Mark could not, and would not control the information on facebook. Because caring about all that media page and its news on Facebook is too hard job than its worth.

On April 9, United Airlines dragged out four passengers by force and this became a huge news worldwide also in Korea. In Korea and CNN, both news said United airlines needed to make four seats for their crew. So they looked for volunteers but there were no volunteers so they randomly picked four passengers with computer program to get off the plane. And passenegers refused, so police and flight crew dragged out passenger with violence. Until now, both news said the same. But in Korea, there were some news and articles that say United Airline incidence is racism problem. They said UA randomly picked 4 people from more than a hundred people and three out of four were Asian. So they think it was impossible that all Asian on the plane were selected. Also, some articles found out UA's former racism action so they said this incidence is also a racism. (racism : A belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.) CNN didn't report about racism so news in Korea and States didn't report the same.
I think this incidence is an act of racism by UA. I looked for UA's former action and found several unfair actions(Making fun of Chinese dead flight attendants and not providing drinks to Arab people). I think it is impossible to pick all Asians on the plane "randomly" with computer program. Also, flight crews even made Vietnamese man bleed with violence and dragged him by force. I think if a white female was picked, attendants and police would not have hurt her. For these reasons, I think this incidence is a racial case.

I agree with that post, other replies and UA said it was 'randomly picked' but I'm not sure of that.
I don't think it was randomly picked, I think they just picked the 'random' Asian passenger.

  6. When the Iraq war is heading to end, the FOX, which is conservative, broadcasted war scenes live. Their opinion is this war is 'righteous' war, so America must win. When they report news about American chopper had shot down, they reported with frowned face. However when they reported success of dramatic rescue mission, the had never lost smile. Even one of viewers said the reports are too biased, then FOX's news anchor Neil Cavuto commented that "I am American before journalist". This two perspective are definately different, but we cannot sure which of them is correct.

In contrast, CNN reports the war in more calm attitude. Unlike FOX, the slogan of CNN for this war was "The Most Trusted Name in News". The FOX's was "Operation Iraqi Freedom".

Usually I get news from JTBC, which has very progressive point of view. I get my news from here because, very obviously, my political position is so too. The Son Seokhee owns the company and also he is announcer of JTBC. His political position is progressive too, even he was under arrested because he had led the strike of MBC labor union at 1992, when he was reporter at the MBC. So his political stand and his company's is correspond.
And I read the news about No Taegang, who is ex-Vice Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism. One from the JTBC(http://news.jtbc.joins.com/article/article.aspx?news_id=NB11480109) and the other from the Chosun(http://news.tvchosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2017/06/10/2017061090015.html). The overall content is not that different, but some of it is a little bit different. One of the biggest difference is the title. The title of JTBC is 'very bad person' No Taegang, magnificent return, become Vice Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism. This title suggest that No Taegang's dismissal was wrong and his return is very positive. On the other hand, Chosun's is No Taegang, who was Vice Minister and once fingered as 'very bad person' become Vice Minister again. And this title doesn't show whether he is nice or not. And the content of the article, JTBC's cites No Taegang's talk that describes his mind and Chosun's cites No Taegang's talk that only describe the situation.
Actually these articles focus on the convey of the information so they are hardly different, but when we get news from multiple sources, we can stand on politically neutral stand and analyse the situation more objectively. So if you want to make your political view broaden, try get some new from a various sources.

In Tucker Carlson tonight, Tucker Carlson had a debate with Ray Keating who argues that immigration has a benefit for an economy. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoNj1B9C7bM)
Tucker Carlson's showed his aspect about immigration with example like "value of a software engineer is different from that of a laborer." to prove his position 'immigration doesn't mean benefit for an economy' and point out Keating's position which is opposite of Carlson's one. About his remark, I think Carlson's reasoning wasn't logical. Beacause example didn't support well about his claim that the number of immigrants aren't proportional to economic growth.
After Carlson's speaking, Keating tried to defend his position by saying "There are people at varying skill levels that help out and are largely complimentary to the existing labor force and that helps out everybody and winds up increasing productivity" which is appropriate response to Carlson's point out.
After I wached show, I think about If I have a chance to participate this show will I be involved or not and After a while I decided to participate the show to improve confidence about express my own opinion and to check my logic of words.

CEO of Google is Larry Page. But he is not well known about his beliefs. This is because Larry Page didn't appear in the press for years before he became CEO of Google and after he became CEO of Google. Meanwhile, Eric Schmidt was formerly google's CEO and is chairman of Google's parent company. Eric Schmidt is well known as supporter of Hillary Clinton. I searched to determine if this affects search results, and I found a video in Youtube. Unfortunately, I couldn't see video, but I found a blog which made a summary of this video. http://blog.naver.com/bellaluna123/220812242995
So there was a suspicion that google manipulated the related search words of Hillary, and the evidence was that related search words of Trump was same at Google, Yahoo and bing, but only google had no related search words about Hillary and Crime.
I made a little experiment to found search result's difference between Google and Yahoo, so I searched Moon jae-in at both webpage.
and when I searched, Google showed me 1 wikipedia, 1 the guardian, 3 bbc news, 1 fortune, 1 forbes, 1 reuters, 1 aljazeera and 1 cnbc news at first page.
However, Yahoo showed me 3 wiki page, 1 times, 1 investing, 1 cnbc, 1 New York Daily news, 2 New York Times, 1 cnn, 1 newsweek, 1 the guardian, and 1 wsj.
By this chart I found on imgur, http://imgur.com/gallery/i PLkz
I found out that both Google and Yahoo is more to progressive. so, when we search something at search engine like Google, Naver, Yahoo, we should be careful to not read biased news.

In the recent news about United Airlines incident, an Asian man being dragged out of the seat of the air plane by force. At that time, United Airlines had to make room for four crew members, but it was already full. Airline used a computer to randomly pick out four people. An Asian man whose name is Dao picked. And then officers from the Chicago Department of Aviation forcefully pulled him from his seat and dragged out of the seat. Korea and American news reported this incident like this way. Most Korean articles are based on information from US news articles, so the contents of the news in Korea and the United States were almost same. First reported, there were no racism mentions in the articles. But after reported, the opinion of racial discrimination has been added in both countries’ articles. Even though there are a lot of controversies in this incident about the selection method, it is still hard to say that this is racism. Because of lack of evidence of racism (The meaning of racism is the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.). In the both country news about racism also written with ‘people said’. Not fact, just people’s opinion.

Public Broadcast (KBS, MBC, SBS…) is not supposed to program commercial break –an advertisement between one program-. However, Public Broadcasts (KBS2, MBC, SBS) split one program to two, and *actually* programmed commercial break between two (which was *actually* one program). Public Broadcasts are claiming that “It’s not commercial break, it’s PCM (Premium CM)”.

The difference between commercial break and PCM is, commercial break is a commercial between *one* program, and PCM is a commercial between *two* programs. Because Public Broadcasts split one program to two, PCM is *legally* fine. (Even though every watcher knows that there is no actual difference between commercial break and PCM.)

Public Broadcast must be for public(citizen); it’s because Public Broadcast is using ‘sky radio wave’. Did you know that public owns the sky radio wave? Because Public Broadcast is using *our* sky radio wave, Public Broadcast *must* be for citizen.
The fact that Public Broadcasts (KBS2, MBC, SBS) programmed PCM is showing they are NOT performing their duty. Driven by avarice, they ruthlessly infringed on public’s sovereignty. Public Broadcasts must stop what they’re doing. Government should establish the law about PCM. Public –which means ‘WE’- must fight for PCM.

There was a happening in April 4th. It was about the United Airline dragged own passenger with violence. It was recorded and many people over the world saw that vidio. In most of the Asian coutry, including Korea, news reported the case this was a very racism. I totally agree with that comments. But some of the US news reported the case without racism. For an example Newyork Times first reported the case without any racism part, then few hours later they reported "It is no supprised Chinese keeps on talking about racism in this case".
Also Gadians said that "If the passenger was a Whie female it never happened". Many people sympathized with this
news and that's why feel this was a Racial case. Because it won't happen to White person.
Racism is one of the oldest discrimination. Racism is a hating or looking down on other races, and I totally agree that this was a Racism because they were looking down on the Chinese passenger.
